About the Pump House

The Pump House Environment Centre is located in a disused waterworks building in Barbourne, Worcester, close to the River Severn. Inside, you'll find lots of information on environmental issues, and a warm welcome in our café and shop. It is also a venue for clubs and events, and is the headquarters of the Duckworth Worcestershire Trust (DWT).

How to find us …


On Foot:
Walk from the city centre up Barbourne Road and thought Gheluvelt Park or along Pitchcroft to Waterworks Road.
By Bicycle:
Cycle path runs from Pitchcroft car park to the car park opposite The Pump House Environment Centre and from Tower Road to the North. Bicycle stands are provided.
By Bus:
Regular bus service from Crowngate Bus station to Barbourne brook stop next to Gheluvelt Park.
By Car:
(From the North) Turn right into Barbourne Lane, the left into Pitchcroft lane and immediately right. Follow the road round to the right. The Pump House is immediately in front of you.
(From the South) Turn left into Barbourne lane and follow instructions as above.
